Increase work performance
Modern workers average 8.8 hours a day in the office. That’s approximately 2, 288 hours a year. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, we spend only a minimal amount of time on leisure or other activities.
We’re working… a lot. I often find well-intended people working more and more hours to move ahead. The International Labour Organization’s 2011 study found that working more hours means you’re actually getting less done. Working too many hours can mean a loss of productivity and quality in your work.

So there you sit watching the team around you constantly excel while asking yourself “What can I do to develop my job strengths?” The answer, figure out what strengthens you. What do you love to do? What fills you with energy and passion? Those activities are signs of strengths. How can you do more of what you love and less of what you loathe?
Who do you admire in the business world? What do you admire about them? What do they do that make them successful, in your opinion? Pay attention to the details of their character, behavior, movements, language, content, image and brand. Most people learn by observation and mimic behavior. Success leaves clues. Pay attention and model what you admire most.
